RECIPE FOR MURDER is really cute

Pricilla Crumb's retirement takes a new twist when she decides to cook for her son's hunting lodge's guests in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. A wonderful cook, Pricilla is horrified when one of the guests dies after eating some of her salmon tartlets.

The police discount the death as a heart-attack, but Pricilla is convinced she murdered the man and he died of food-poisoning. However, tests done on the deceased proves that he was indeed poisoned, and requests everyone stay at the hunting lodge until the murder is solved.

Not anxious to be left in a lodge with a potential killer, Pricilla quickly makes a suspect list. But who has motive? And how can she get a bunch of men to communicate in something other than grunts?

RECIPE FOR MURDER is really cute. Pricilla is a loveable heroine, kind and considerate, yet a busybody. At home in the kitchen, Pricilla hopes that cooking up delectable treats for the hunters will help solve the murder in a timely matter-never mind if it stirs up a romance or two.

The faith message is expertly woven in, and the setting is very much a part of the story. Most of the secondary characters are well-developed, but unfortunately, we never seemed to get to know most of the guests which made it difficult to guess who might have been the murderer. A yummy sounding recipe is included at the end of the book.
