What if you could hear the genuine voice of God?

What would that mean to you? How could it change your life? That's what two scientists want to know. And soon, the whole world wants in on what they call The Program.

Charlie Madison shouldn't be working behind the counter of a music store wishing he could say something witty to the petite, attractive woman that has visited several times. After all, he's ex-special forces, one of the most highly trained soldiers in America. Emphasis on "ex." You'd think stealth and finesse would be a breeze. But he lost his touch years ago after a heartrending personal tragedy.

Events spiral out of control after Jazmin, Charlie's estranged deaf niece, bursts into the store claiming that men are following her and trying to kill her. Charlie's former training kicks in and he soon finds out that Jaz's parents have been kidnapped. Together, along with Jaz's Uncle Fredrick, they have discovered through scientific research something more awesome and world-changing than anyone could imagine.

But who is responsible for the kidnapping? Terrorists wishing to acquire a weapon of mass destruction? Religious fanatics who don't want the world to know that the existence of God has been proven beyond a doubt? And what stake does the FBI have in the crisis?

Bill Myers, well-known author of supernatural suspense, delivers another almost-too-strange-to-be-true tale along the lines of previous works The Presence and The Seeing. His stories delve into the unseen, undiscovered spiritual world, helping readers imagine what God's presence might feel like, look like, sound like. How earth-shattering would God's audible voice be? I don't think we have a clue.

Sometimes in the frantic pace or monotony of life, we forget how great and awesome God really is. The voice that spoke the universe into existence speaks to us through prayer, the written Word, circumstances, and other Christians. We have to tune in to the Creator, but even then, our humanness often prevents us from hearing Him clearly. Myers reminds readers of God's power and how it can shape lives.

Available April 28th, The Voice will be a fine addition to any supernatural suspense fan's bookshelf.
