Broken Angel is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you guessing.
Caitlyn and her father are on the run. She’s not sure why they’re being chased, but she knows it must be her fault. She’s a freak. Her father tries to reassure her, but when he leaves her to fend for herself she knows it must be true.
And so she runs. Trying to keep ahead of the bounty hunters and their dogs. If she can only follow the directions her father hurriedly gave her, she may be able to stay alive. Maybe even make it out of Appalachia.
During her journey, Caitlyn is thrown together with two other misfits trying to escape Appalachia. Can she trust them? Or will they lead her to a fate worse than she can imagine?
Broken Angel is a fast-paced thriller that will keep you guessing. Brouwer leaves most of the details to the imagination, sprinkling in clues here and there. The ending was fulfilling and made the novel thoroughly enjoyable. Readers will enjoy the thrill of the chase, but must be prepared to be on the edge of their seat until the very end.
