Robin Caroll Interview

Q: How did you get your start writing fiction and what genre do you predominantly write in?
A. I always wanted to “tell a story” as my parents and grandparents like to tell people. I was drawn to write mystery/suspense because that’s the genre I love to read most.

Q: What does your writing space look like?
Q: What part of a writing career do you find most difficult?
A. Marketing! Seriously, I love to write and love to edit and revise, but selling myself? That’s really hard for me!

Q: Would you tell us about your current book release STRATAGEM?
A: A High-Stakes Simulation Adventure Leaves Grayson Thibodeaux the Prime Suspect. . .for Murder

Deep in the gritty underbelly of New Orleans, psychologist Grayson Thibodeaux loses everything when his wife leaves him to climb her company’s corporate ladder. He buries himself in his job of creating mind-bending adventure games for businesses as team-building explorations. When his ex-wife’s company hires Grayson’s to create an elaborate game, he doesn’t see how things can get worse. Until she dies during the course of the game he created…making him the prime suspect for murder.

Q: What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
A: I most enjoyed stretching myself as an author with this book. It’s the first time I’ve written an entire novel all in a male POV. I had a blast!

Q: What is the main theme or spiritual message of this book?
A: Forgiveness!

Q: Would you share with us what you are working on now?
A. At the moment, I’m finishing up DARKWATER TRUTH, the last book in the Darkwater Inn series.

Q: If you could have dinner with 2 people, who would they be?
A. Stephen King and Colleen Coble, because I think it’d be a huge blast!

Q: Do you have a favorite hobby?
A. I LOVE papercrafting: scrapbooking, journaling, card making, artjournals, etc. For my birthday, my hubby and daughters bought me a Cricuit machine and I’m in love!

Q: What is the most rewarding thing you have ever done?
A. Every year at Christmas, as a family, we volunteer at the Salvation Army Angel Tree Distribution Center. We love being able to give back of our time to our community, especially during such a special time of year.
