Lyn Cote Interview

Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A. I’ve been writing since the mid-80’s (I was just a little girl! ‘-) I’ve been a beautician and a high school teacher, and a full time mom.

Q: Would you tell us about your current book release A Heart of Stone?
A: It is part of my ‘Opposites Attract” series, clean wholesome romances in the Shadow of Mystery

Q: Where did you get your inspiration for this story?
A: From my husband’s favorite summer place and where we live now–the northwoods of WI.

Q: What is the main thing you hope readers remember from this story?
A: That a person might seem to have a heart of stone but actually it is a wounded heart.

Q: How do you choose your settings for your books?
A. I like to write about places I know for my contemporaries.

Q: Do you base your characters on people you know or are they totally made up?
A: I would say my characters have traits of people I’ve known but I never write a person I know 100%.

Q: Would you share with us what you are working on now?
A. I’m writing my 50th book, a historical.

Q: If money were no object what vacation would you like to take and why?
A. A world cruise–always wanted to do that but now I think it’s just a lot of being away from home!

Q: What is the silliest thing you have ever done?
A. Well, that’s hard to say because I’ve done a lot of silly things! I don’t mind being silly.

Q: What is the hardest thing you have ever done?
A. Raising two children and staying married to the same man.
