Rene Gutteridge Interview

Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?

A: I have been professionally writing for about twenty years. My first writing job came right out of college. I was hired by a church to write skits for their Sunday morning services and their Friday night singles service. Before that, to get through college, I worked at an architectural and engineering company answering phones and doing secretarial work.

Q: How did you get your start writing fiction and what genre do you predominantly write in?

A: My first published work (in Chicken Soup for the Nurse’s Soul) was an inspirational account of the riding accident that nearly claimed my life. I now write adrenaline-infused, romantic, and hopeful medical fiction drawing upon my long career as an ER nurse.
