Former champion skier Trevor MacDaniel risks his life to save a boy from a mountain lion that snatched up the young boy, bringing back a lot of old memories. But Trevor loves rescuing people young or old. Natalie Reeve is grateful for her nephew, and finds that their bonding relationship is growing closer. But Trevor finds himself in a situation he doesn’t want to be in because his love of rescuing attracts the wrong crowd, and someone starts sending him photos of children in threatening situations. Now Trevor needs to track down these senseless people before they harm Natalie, or someone else gets hurt.
As always, Kristen Heitzmann gives us another awesome thrilling page turner novel, with an added bonus of bringing some of the characters of her last novel, Indivisible into our lives again. As with Indivisible, I couldn’t put this book down until it was finished. The author has a great way of intertwining the characters and the situations in this book with love, grief, old memories just as soon forgotten, loss, someone with photographic memory drawing us into the story feeling the joys and pains of each person. I love the unbelievable characters the author created, making this story believable to readers. I recommend this book to any Christian fiction reader, and anyone who loves thrillers.
