Review – Soul’s Gate

December 19, 2012 By The Suspense Zone

James L. Rubart in his new book, “Soul’s Gate” Book One in the Well Spring series published by Thomas Nelson takes us into the life of Reece Roth.

From the back cover:  “Every now and then we get a break from reality. A glimpse into the other world that is more real than the reality we live in 99 percent of our days. The Bible is about a world of demons and angels and great evil and even greater glory.”

What if you could travel inside another person’s soul? To battle for them. To be part of Jesus healing their deepest wounds. To help set them free to step boldly into their divinely designed future.

Thirty years ago that’s exactly what Reece Roth did. Until tragedy shattered his life and ripped away his future.

Now God has drawn Reece out of the shadows to fulfill a prophecy spoken over him three decades ago. A prophecy about four warriors with the potential to change the world . . . if Reece will face his deepest regret and teach them what he has learned.

They gather at a secluded and mysterious ranch deep in the mountains of Colorado, where they will learn to see the spiritual world around them with stunning clarity—and how to step into the supernatural.

Their training is only the beginning. The four have a destiny to pursue a freedom even Reece doesn’t fully fathom. But they have an enemy hell-bent on destroying them and he’ll stop at nothing to keep them from their quest for true freedom and the coming battle of souls.

This means war!  The battle is on!  The battle for souls is the hardest and most vicious ever imagined and James L. Rubert has given us a story that shows just how hard and vicious it is.  Mr. Rubert gives us the warriors, those that fight for men’s souls.  They are aided by the angelic host.  Opposed to them, of course, are the demonic host.  The reason why they are after the warriors is that if you take out those that do the fighting then the ones they are fighting for are lost and the demons win.  “Soul’s Gate” is a very exciting book.  One that will keep you flipping pages trying to find out what will happen next just as fast as you can read and flip.  Everything is Biblical and Mr. Rubart is at the top of his game with his writing.  “Soul’s Gate” will keep you asking questions, once you get the answer to one question it leads you to another and then another.  This is an adrenaline laced adventure story.  ”Soul’s Gate” is all about healing and freedom.  The characters are extraordinary and well written and when you reach the ending you will let out a small cry of anguish contented sigh as we all have to wait until August of 2013 to find out what happens next.  This is a just plain fun, exciting story that entertains as well as makes us think. Mr.Rubart has batted in a winner and I recommend this book highly.  I am so looking forward to book two in this series.
