Review – Soul’s Gate

January 1, 2013 By The Suspense Zone

In SOUL’S GATE, James L. Rubart takes a new look at the nature of spiritual warfare.  He looks at Ephesians 6:12, and various incidents that happened in Scripture, and he arrives at some very unique conclusions.  Conclusions such as, “There really is a battle going on, that only those with Spiritual sight can see.”  And you really can’t defeat an enemy that you cannot see.  The leader of the group, Reese Roth, declares “Every now and then we get a break from reality.  A glimpse into the other world that is more real than the reality we live in 99 percent of our days . . . A world that is all around us in every moment if we would have eyes to see and ears to hear.”  And that is the mission that Reese Roth has been given.  To train people to engage in spiritual warfare . . . inside the soul.

Brandon is The Song that is out of tune.  Dana is The Leader who refuses to lead.  Marcus is The Teacher so consumed with regret that he’s lost his teaching plan.  Reese must take them, break them, heal them, restore them, and prepare them for a task that many of us either consider pure fantasy, or are attracted to in an unhealthy manner.  And he has four days to do it.

Throughout the training, and following their graduation, the spiritual warriors find out more about one another, and themselves, than they had ever known.  You will find yourself joining them in prayer, and in battle, as this book opens your eyes to the very real spiritual battles that take place all around us, every day.  The question is . . . will you join the battle, or become a deserter?

This is Book One of the series, and I’m seriously looking forward to the next installment!
