I couldn’t help but fall in love with Cal, the handsome ex-police homicide detective who is healing from deep wounds of his own. Moira is certain of what she saw, but no proof, except for a nagging conviction. She’s frustrated when no one believes her, but can’t forget the terror in the woman’s eyes and has to help—somehow.
It is easy to figure out who the bad guy is. I had it figured out in the first few chapters. But the reasons behind is not so easily discerned. I had to keep reading to see why, and how Cal and Moira would eventually figure it out. Not only that, but the sexual tension is palatable. Love Ms. Hannon’s romantic suspense books.
