This book is a real page turner. I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended.
Smokejumper Silas Kent never expected to see pilot Elle Westmore again. Years ago, Silas had fallen in love with her—but then ran, not ready to commit. Elle had married another.
But now, Silas realizes the mistake he made. Before he has a chance to make amends, he’s called to lead a new crew into battle against a massive fire in the Sierra Nevadas.
But then things go wrong very quickly. And Silas faces a desperate race from more than just a raging forest fire…
FALLS LIKE LIGHTNING is the first book I’ve read by Shawn Grady, but it won’t be the last. I’ve always been interested in smokejumpers and so when I was offered this book for review I jumped at it. But this is more than just a smokejumping. There is a plot that is so sinister that people must die. Lots of action.
This book is a real page turner. I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended. Five stars.
