My Take:
Angel Falls, Connie Mann’s debut novel, is a riveting read starting with the first page keeping you reading all the way through the book. You will not want to put this book down until the satisfying conclusion.
Mann vividly paints a picture of the areas of Brazil that we don’t often read about and the plight of the street kids. Her imagery of their struggle evokes compassion from the reader and emotions fiction often fails to provide. Her characters are real and struggling, making the reader want to root for them and their happily ever after as they run for their lives and solve the mystery surrounding them. This is a unique and memorable book, so don’t delay. Pick it up and start your journey to Brazil.
