Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I’ve been writing since 1980. I started out writing historical romances, but when I sold my first book, a contemporary romance, I switched to contemporary stories. My favorite to read and write is romantic suspense/mystery.

Q: As a child or teenager, did you ever dream of being an author?
A. No, I didn’t but as a child I used to make up stories, and when I played with my dolls, I would enact a story I thought up.

Q: Would you tell us about your current book release Kidnapped?
Kidnapped is my 4th book in my Everyday Heroes Series.

Q: Where did the idea for this story come from?
A. From God. He is my muse. The ideas just come to me. Sometimes slowly and thankfully fast at other times.

Q: Tell us a little about your main character and how you developed him.
A. Colby Parker is a police officer for Cimarron City Police Department. He has a bomb sniffing dog. With a serial bomber striking the city, Colby and his dog were in demand.

Q: Would you share with us what you are working on now?
A. The fifth book in the Everyday Heroes Series. It takes place in Cimarron City, too. The hero is Nick Davidson (in Kidnapped), a police detective. Sarah Collins who was a therapist in Kidnapped is also in Stolen as the heroine.

Q: Where do you escape for some quiet time?
A. I listen to music and lie down on my couch with a cold pack over my eyes.

Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t writing?
A. Working with children (I taught school for 27 years until I retired).

Q: What one thing have you always wanted to do but couldn’t afford to do?
A. Going around the world on a cruise.

Q: I’m an avid gardener and have to ask what kind of flower you would be and why?
A. A hibiscus
