Q: How did you get your start writing fiction and what genre do you predominantly write in?
A. I’ve always wanted to write fiction, but I earned my college degree in journalism, figuring it would be easier to make a living writing for newspapers. Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I’ve been married for 17 years, to a retired police officer turned business owner. We have three daughters that keep us really busy.
Q: When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
A. I’ve been writing since I was a little girl, but started putting stories together when I was in middle school. Mostly sequels to movies I liked. After that, I ended up
Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A. I have been writing for nearly 20 years. Before that I worked as a mathematician at a research center, then as VP of a database company. I taught at the high school and college level.

Q: Let me start with asking you to tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. My wife and I currently live outside of Dallas after a lifetime of moving around the Southeast US. I grew up in west Tennessee and still have the accent that goes with that. I’m semi-, sorta, sometimes retired which means I’m busier than I’ve ever been.

A. I live in a small town in Northeast Mississippi, four miles from the Tennessee border and 25 miles from Alabama’s. Besides writing, I love to work with clay and when my hands are clean, knit. Suzy, my gray and white tabby and Tux, my black and white tuxedo cat, own me. I love dreaming up stories of murder and intrigue and catching the bad guys.
