My thoughts: ALWAYS WATCHING is a fast paced romantic suspense, the first book in the much anticipated (by this reader) new series by Lynette Eason. I borrowed this book from a friend to read (so was not obligated to review) but I will because I really loved it.
Once I picked up ALWAYS WATCHING my attention was completely snared by the plot. Even the opening chapter, written in the “bad guys” point of view grabbed me. I had to keep reading. I was so engaged in the story I forgot to even try to figure out who was behind the attacks until about three-fourths of the way through, then I started having suspicions and trying to work it out. There was a twist I didn’t see coming which is all I’ll say about that since I don’t want to give anything away.
If you like romantic suspense, you will love ALWAYS WATCHING. The sexual tension between Wade and Olivia isn’t as palpable as in some of Ms. Eason’s previous books, but the suspense tension is definitely high as you wonder how Wade’s stalker knows him and his schedule so well.
A definite twist on who the body guards are, a group of strong female characters who have untold resources and abilities. ALWAYS WATCHING is a great book.
