My take:
This is book five in the Montana Rescue series, even though it is sort of a stand alone book, you do miss a lot of history from this series. I have not read all of this series and have no trouble keeping up though. The author does a great job at repeating important facts from previous book to keep you informed. Now if you do not like books that lead into another one you may not like this one, However it is amazing. It does leave you wanting more, but oh now I can’t wait for the next one.
This series does focus on some characters more than others, however there is always more going on than just with the main characters of this novel. You get involved in many lives throughout this series. I fell in love with the entire PEAK team, even if some do get on my nerves from time to time.
I love the suspense, mystery, drama, romance and family that Warren weaves into her novels.
