Q: How long have you been writing and what other careers or jobs have you had?
A: I started writing and illustrating non-fiction, drawing and watercolor books in 2000. My mentor, Frank Peretti, read a short story I wrote in 2003 and offered to help me “learn to fish”—to write fiction. I’m a fine and forensic artist. With my husband, I travel across the US and Canada teaching forensic art courses.

Q: Would you tell us about your current book release Portrait

A. My husband and I will celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary next month, and we have six children ages six to seventeen. After I finished a bachelor’s degree in English, I went to law school. LISA: Like most women, I juggle a lot of roles. Mom, wife, teacher, chauffer, writer. . .My husband and I have three beautiful children, and we’ve lived in southern Africa for almost fourteen years. We currently live in Mozambique and are involved in church planting and discipleship. We’ve been blessed to see a lot of the world and experience many different cultures, something I’m extremely thankful
