My take: This is book two in the Nighthawk security series. However it is a stand alone book. Sleeman is one of my favorite authors. Her books are full of mystery, suspense, humor, family and romance. One thing I like about her books is they continue to bring people from previous books and the relationships develop, yet each is a stand alone. So if you just read one you can enjoy it and not feel lost.
We learn more about the handsome, Brendan Byrd of Nighthawk Security, in this book. When he comes to the rescue of Jenna and her four year old, Brendan and Jenna must do all they can to protect themselves and their hearts. This book is full of mystery, drama, family, healing and so much more. I look forward to reading more from the Byrd family.
