My thoughts: CHRISTMAS HIDEOUT is the third book in Ms. Sleeman’s McKade Law series, but it easily stands alone. Fans will want to read Holiday Secrets and Rodeo Standoff to get the earlier stories.
I thought CHRISTMAS HIDEOUT was pretty cut and dried, but an unexpected twist came and it added a whole new level to this book I wasn’t expecting. Great suspense.
Matt and Nicole are sweet characters and little Emilie is a dear sweetheart. I enjoyed the way the McKade family embraced Nicole and Emilie and made them a part of their Christmas celebration. I’m wanting more about this couple in the future.
If you like romantic suspense you’ll want to read CHRISTMAS HIDEOUT. Don’t miss this book. A great holiday (or any day) read.
